Happy 50th anniversary Mom and Dad

50 years ago today, my mother-in-law Hanna and father-in-law Harry were married!
The last 50 years has had its share of joys and sorrow, the birth of three beautiful children, the addition of 11 grandchildren, and one of the most globe trotting couple I’ve known, every time I talk to them it seems they’re off to another country :).
The greatest test this family had to go through was when Dad was diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer, with his best option being chemotherapy. We are grateful and happy to report that he has been cancer free, and doing much better for a year now.
If you are a frequent visitor to my site you may have noticed the similarities between my in-laws names and my children, our oldest son and daughter where named after both sets of grandparents; Harry Aloysius, and Hanna Cecilia.
Even though we won’t be in Germany for the official party, I just wanted to say we love you Mom and Dad, and many more years to come!

My husband and I have a running joke that we have to be together until we are 93 which would give us about 70 years of marriage. It would be amazing if we made it.
Thanks for the wishes.
Monique,
That is amazing, my hubby says we are not checking out till we are in our hundreds lol.
Dani,
Thanks a bunch!
Thanks, they sounded so proud on the phone today as they told their grandkids today was their anniversary.
BagLady,
I will have to share that with my mother-in-law, she will definitely get a kick out of that, your granddad is a hoot lol.
Love the kids names, very nice.
Have a great weekend!
I wish we had more examples of marriages that endure. Right on for them!
