Official start of Spring

Today officially marks the first day of Spring, even though it doesn’t feel like it yet, the flowers are starting to bloom.

50 years ago today, my mother-in-law Hanna and father-in-law Harry were married!
The last 50 years has had its share of joys and sorrow, the birth of three beautiful children, the addition of 11 grandchildren, and one of the most globe trotting couple I’ve known, every time I talk to them it seems they’re off to another country :).
The greatest test this family had to go through was when Dad was diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer, with his best option being chemotherapy. We are grateful and happy to report that he has been cancer free, and doing much better for a year now.
If you are a frequent visitor to my site you may have noticed the similarities between my in-laws names and my children, our oldest son and daughter where named after both sets of grandparents; Harry Aloysius, and Hanna Cecilia.
Even though we won’t be in Germany for the official party, I just wanted to say we love you Mom and Dad, and many more years to come!

Although we’ve gone back to 30 degree weather here, the official start of Spring is 2-days away, Harry’s class is going on an Easter Egg hunt on Thursday, and this coming Sunday, Christian’s all over the world will celebrate the resurrection.
With that in mind, I’d like to offer a layout based on any of the above, based on the result of the poll, I will have your choice of a scrap tag (a web graphic) or a digital scrapbook page available this Friday March 21.
