Helpful tips for taking baby pictures

* Remember to get down to baby’s level, while some poses look great from above (baby swaddled, trying to crawl), for those candid face shots, being at eye level gives a more realistic look.
* I’ve found that simple is often best, background that is. When you look at most of the professional shots of celebrities, it is often against a simple background, the ultimate goal is to capture the memory of baby, a fancy background would only detract from this.
* The early moments of life are moments once they are gone, you can never capture again, so be sure to take pictures of all those moments, happy, sad, fussy, sleepy, serve as pleasant memories which might otherwise have been forgotten.
* Treat your baby like the star he/she is, move in for that close up and capture those candid moments of innocence.
* And finally, take, take and take as many pictures as you can, baby will only be this little once, make the most of this time when they are much more sleepy, and not squirming away from the eager shutterbug.
