Scrapbook swap

While searching for layout inspiration, I came across a great idea for a scrapbook swap on About.com, A - Z Yearbook with the overall theme based on the alphabet. Sounds like it would be lots of fun, a great way to bond with other scrappers, and an overall enlightening experience for newbies and pros alike.
If this sounds like a swap you’d be interested in, it is completely FREE to join, I’ll furnish the supplies (or you are free to use your own) and I will set up a forum where we can host this swap party.
Swaps will be every two weeks, which should be more than enough time to finish our yearbook in time.
Just leave a comment if you are interested in signing up and I will reply with details.

Trying out a brand new toy!

For a while I have been contemplating buying Poser, a program that powerfully creates interactive 3D figures, with infinite opportunities to help capture that human perfection; form and expression.
In addition it to human art form, this software has the added capability of creating animation, comics, web, print, education, medical visualization, games, storyboarding, and much more.
Though I’ve only played around with it for a hour tonight/morning, I already have tons of tutorials to help guide me, and I am convinced that this is a must have for any serious graphic artist, whether as a hobbyist or professional. (Hint hint this would make an awesome anniversary gift coming up in a month Mr. Hubby).
So for the fun at heart or just curious to see what has me excited check it out, a word of caution to those with dial up and slower connection if you decide to tryout the demo, please be aware that it is a big file (177 PC and 178 Mac) and can take up to as much as 14 hours to download depending on your speed.
